Cockluck #19
This cocktail potluck, everyone came with an amazing drink and food item. It was a tough one to judge but Michelle May ended up taking home her first win! This time we did a slightly different approach than all the others we have previously done. We all rolled some cocktail dice that our friend Gary from the local bar Denmark gave us which had different ingredients on it and had to make a cocktail out of the three ingredients.

2.0 oz Scotch
1.0 oz Spiced Pear Liqueur
0.25 oz Allspice Dram
0.50 oz Clove-Sage Simple Syrup
1.0 oz Lemon Juice
Ginger Beer
Sage Leaves
Add wet ingredients to shaker, add ice, shake, strain into a coupe. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a sage leaf.

1.0 oz Roasted Heirloom Orange-Infused White Rum
1.0 oz Michter’s Rye
0.25 oz Agave Syrup
0.50 oz Blood Orange Juice
0.25 Cardamaro
3 Mint Leaves

1.50 oz Smith & Cross Rum
0.50 oz Coconut Liqueur

Basil
Brown Sugar
Cava
Muddle blackberries and basil with the brown sugar, add remaining wet ingredients, shake with ice, strain, top with Cava.

After Jessica was Laura
Laura:
Gin
Basil
Honey
Cocktail Name: Untitled
2 parts Gin
3 parts Watermelon Juice
1 part Basil Honey Syrup
Salt Bitters
Shake over ice. Strain into a glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a fresh basil leaf.
Next up was Andrea with her first ever cocktail made for the group. Normally she just brings wonderful deserts!

0.50 oz Maraschino Liqueur
0.25 oz Sweet vermouth
0.25 oz Maple Syrup
Kumquats
Muddle kumquats and basil with maple syrup, add remaining wet ingredients, shake with ice, and strain.

Adrian:
Apple
Vanilla
Rum
The Comey
2.0 oz Smith & Cross Rum
0.75 oz Apple Cinnamon Shrub
0.50 oz Vanilla Syrup
2 Drops Cinnamon Tincture
8 Drops Grapefruit Bitters
Add all ingredients to a shaker, shake with ice, and strain.

2.0 oz Aquavit
0.75 oz Lemon Juice
2 tsp Vanilla-Honey Syrup
1 tsp Creme de Cassis
Blueberry Paint
Paint interior rim of glass with blueberry paint, then put glass in the freezer to chill. Add wet ingredients to shaker, add ice, shake, strain into painted glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Mint leaves
Add ingredients into shaker. Shake with ice and strain into an ice-filled glass. Top with Peychaud’s Bitters and garnish with pineapple and mint leaves.
