Cockluck #26

This was a sad cockluck because we had to say farewell to Andrea.  Aparently it was also everybody wear flannel night.  Andrea was always a wonderful addition to the group and made the best deserts anyone could ever make.  Here, she made a triumphal baked Alaska cake.  We will miss you and wish you best on future endeavors.-0

 

 

 

Maria: Julius Orange

2.0 oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao

0.5 oz Diplomatico Anejo Rum

0.5 oz Lemon Juice

1 tsp Vanilla Syrup

0.5 oz Heavy Cream

Heavy dash Orange Bitters

 

Dry shake all the ingredients with 3 ice cubes. Strain into a double rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with grated nutmeg and serve with a straw.

 

 

 

Laura: Stout Gingerbread

1.5 oz Cruzan Black Strap Rum

1.5 oz Imperial Chocolate Stout

1.0 oz Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur 

0.5 oz St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram

Heavy Dash Scrappy's Chocolate Bitters

 

Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into a coupe and garnish with grated nutmeg and cinnamon and an orange peel.

 

 

 

Scott: Dakota Alchemist (in honor of Andrea)

1.0 oz Lot 40 Canadian Whisky

0.5 oz St. George's Spiced Pear Liqueur 

0.5 oz Cinzano 1757 Sweet Vermouth

0.25 oz Aperol

1 dash Jerry Thomas Bitters

 

Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into a coupe and garnish with an expressed lemon peel.

 

 

 

Adrian: Frosty's Navel

1.5 oz Espolon Tequila Blanco

1.5 oz Von Humboldt's Natur Wasser Tamarind Cordial

1/3 oz Cold Brewed Coffee And Stout Simple Syrup

1/4 oz Aquafaba

3 Dark Roasted Coffee Beans for Garnish

 

Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into a coupe and garnish with coffee beans.

 

 

Jessica: Halmstad Heist

1.5 oz Corruption gin

0.5 oz Lemon Juice

0.5 oz  Swedish Punsch

0.75 oz D Anjou  Pear Pureee

0.75 oz  Honey Syrup

Sage Leaf for Garnish

 

Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a coupe and garnish with a sage leaf.

 

 

 

Randy: Date Night in Mexico

1.0 oz Date-Infused Rum

1.0 oz Rum Popa (a Mexican liqueur)

0.5 oz Orange Juice

0.5 oz Cardamaro

2 Dashes Cardamom Bitters

 

Shake with ice and strain into a coupe. Garnish with a date, orange peel, and a clove.

 

 

 

 

Holly: Ginger Daisy

1.0 oz Hop-Infused Gosling’s Dark Rum 

0.75 oz Ginger Syrup

2 dashes Orinoco Bitters

0.75 oz Lime Juice

1.0 oz Oloroso Sherry

1 .0 oz Vanilla Bean Soda

Nutmeg

 

Add all the ingredients, except the soda and garnish, to a shaker. Fill with ice and shake. Add the soda to the shaker and strain into a coupe with one chunk of cracked ice. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.

 

Still working on perfecting the ginger syrup and the hop-infused rum. Will try again at a future Cockluck.

 

Michelle: Punch in the Face Before you Go To Bed

1.0 oz Bourbon

0.5 oz Calvados

1.0 oz Hard Cider

0.25 oz Maple Syrup

1 dash Jerry Thomas Bitters 

 

Shake with ice and strain into a coupe.
